The subsidy covers those studying in day schools, including secondary schools, primary schools, special schools and kindergartens, as well as those studying full-time in locally accredited courses at post-secondary institutions. The subsidy will be distributed to the students through the day schools. |

They may not have support from family or relatives in Hong Kong, and their personal belongings may already be completely destroyed by the blaze, or their employers may have tragically passed away. It will be followed up by the LD. |

| A token of solidarity offered by Beijing Han Hong Love Charity Foundation | Provide a token of solidarity of $100,000 to the families of the 168 deceased from the fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po, including residents, foreign domestic helpers, visitors, and persons working at Wang Fuk Court during the fire, to help them get through this difficult time and rebuild their confidence in life. |
| A one-off Chinese New Year goodwill token offered by Beijing Han Hong Love Charity Foundation | Provide a one-off Chinese New Year goodwill token of $5,000 to each flat owner or their families of all the eight blocks at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po to extend holiday blessings to them. |
The above-mentioned emergency cash subsidy, living allowance, token of solidarity, funeral grant, injury grant, grant for flat owners, rental grant for flat owners, relocation grant for flat owners, relocation grant for tenants, and tokens of solidarity and one-off Chinese New Year goodwill offered by Beijing Han Hong Love Charity Foundation will be disbursed through the Social Welfare Department (SWD)’s “one social worker per household” mechanism. The SWD will handle the cases in accordance with the relevant land registration records and flat owners are not required to submit ownership documents. The SWD social workers will provide for the affected households all necessary assistance. Steering Committee on the Support Fund for Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po
The Support Fund for Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po was established on November 27, 2025, pursuant to the Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs Incorporation Ordinance (Cap. 1044). The Steering Committee on the Support Fund for Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po, convened by the Deputy Chief Secretary for Administration, is responsible for advising on matters such as the operation of the Fund, as well as supervising and monitoring the establishment and implementation of support measures under the Fund.
Terms of reference
- To advise on the overall strategy, operation and procedures of the Support Fund;
- To advise on the management and allocation of the Support Fund;
- To oversee the usage of the Support Fund and the implementation progress of the support measures; and
- To advise on other matters relating to the Support Fund.
